For once, the politics of Nigeria overwhelm my fancy and my entire being. I believe the voice of my people, I believe in the yearnings of the masses, I believe in the joy of my people. I believe action speaks louder than voice, I beleieve in an atmosphere of positivity and possibilities will surely lead to a Change my people wants.
An ideal democracy, is a state of order that really pose to give an economy the freedom to do and express their civic rights and responsibility. Not a democracy that imposes governance on the masses. "Na by force?" is the question I ask today. A leadership that rises above the folks; not a leadership that even in the light of reality punctures the eyes of truth and resolve to the act of violence and unrest. The question I ask again is: "Na by force?". For once, the action congress of Nigeria has proven that they can compete, they can rule, and they can have something to offer. Fours years ago, the Action Congress of Nigeria where wallowing in the shadows of the ruling party-barely making a statement. During the last four years, the breeze has blown and the secret began to leak out. Some state governance that has been taken by force through act of injustice perpetrated by those "political bandwagons" of the "Power-Party" so to say took a twist of faith with the actual winners of the past elections mostly from the Action Congress of Nigeria decided to take their fate into their hands. In some other states, Political Leaders who have been medically stated to have infirmity in their thinking faculties through the use of Drugs though forcefully ruled the states but turned out to be stoned by the masses during social functions. The question again is "Na by force?". Bayelsans and the Oyos to mention a few can explain better.
The question is, if we all are fighting to make the country a better place for all, why then is the stiff rift and hatred for one another? I believe in a change!!!. The same party has been ruling the affairs of this country since the inception of the so called "egalitarian society". For 12 years, I cannot point to a notable achievement the present ruling party has done. Promise upon Promises, Agenda upon Agendas, Failure upon Failures, and Vision upon Visions. All to no avail> The success of any economy should be judged based on what can be seen and felt and not the EMPTY promises begging to be ful-FILLED. A good society is a society where the greatest amount of people enjoy the greatest possible happiness.
Failure should not be a excuse to fail but a proof that success beckons. The fact that the present ruling party has failed Nigerians in all entirety is no more a hidden claim but the stunning truth. The Nigeria of our dream is not a place where "opportuinists" (You know what I mean?) can thrive; It should be a place where people who share like minds and knows the points where the shoe itches the common man should be handed the power to lead.
It is high-time we stand as youths and adults especially to crave for a change. A change we believe in. A change that forestall promises for the future leaders of the nation. Our vote is our RIGHT and the only way to show this bunch of unfortunate monarchs that the world is revolutionaizing. For once, let see what the Action Congress of Nigeria can us at the National Level. I for one believe they have "something" to offer because we have seen what they are capable of doing at the state level. Please let our votes count!!!. Spit away the spoilt milk. throw away the rotten egg. Say no to an economy that has brought pain and anguish to Nigerians in diaspora (From N87 to a Dollar in 1998) to (N150 to a Dollar in 2011). Say no to an economy where Cholera, an 18th century disease still kills the masses in the 20th century. The question again is "Na by force?"
Don't be decieved by what they show that they have done or what they would do on the Television in documentaries claiming to portray their undue "success". Never be carried away by their sugar-coated speeches. It is all to decieve you. We need a change, a change NOW!!!.
God bless Nigeria, I believe service to humanity is the best work of life. I believe in my future. I believe in my future. I believe in you. I beieve in a new Nigeria. I believe we can make it if we want. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Amen
